Description

Small & Affordable Maritime Underwater Robots (SAMs) is part of this demonstrator lab facility where the focus is on robots that are characterized by small size (<20kg dry weight), easy to handle and operate by 1-2 persons, relatively cheap so that a number of these can be developed (e.g. for swarm and multi-vehicle operations).

This demonstrator will be the first step for e.g. PhD students to initiate their experiments without the infrastructure needed for missions with larger craft. Yet, even the small size robots have to be advanced enough to handle docking operations, underwater networking, and the required payloads for the different missions.
